Corrupted System Menu in 1.0.8.19 [duplicate]

I had to do a factory reset following problems covered in https://together.jolla.com/question/57698/warning-phone-bricked-after-updates/ I then upgraded the OS to 1.0.8.19 and installed various Apps from Jolla store and Warehouse. I also installed Google Play store following the instructions in https://together.jolla.com/question/30926/howto-install-google-play/.

While the OS update option showed in the system menu when I first updated the OS to 1.0.8.19 yesterday, it is now missing. The first System menu item now has the heading “!!sync_and_backup” (see attachments) suggesting that the system menu file has become corrupted.

I can’t therefore update the OS and the option to backup is missing as may be other System Menu items.

I really don't want to do another factory reset before being sure there isn't another way of correcting this.

Any thoughts and help much appreciated.
