Usability of the calendar in the case of conflicting events is highest when an accurate and reliable warning is displayed.

Events should be marked as conflicting in the calendar in a customizable pattern, for example when delegates/secretaries are managing calendars they might not need warnings between calendars they are managing, this can be extended to all warnings of course.

Another example in which conflicting event handling might be improved automatically is when 'multiple events' are actually different perspectives of one event. This happens when one user (e.g. a planner/secretary/manager) needs an overview of other user's calendars and therefore subscribes to these calendars. The VEVENTs in question are marked with the same UUID etc, so this can be handled elegantly. An effect of better handling would also be cutting down on the number of reminders for a single event, by not reminding the subscriber of each perspective of the event, but only of the own/main/designated perspective of the event.
