hearing by the reviews of many sailors it seems that the update is not as stable as the current one.

i did not download it yet. the current version 1.0.8.21 is rather stabler than the new one i guess.. so if they release a more stabler one i think i'll download it.

i am doing this cause i am using this as my main phone. and i dont want it to get crashed frequently in the time of need.

keep me updated thanks for all the reviews sailors!!!! :)

yeah but still they released the software as "opt-in" so they had precautionately told that it wouldn;t be stable.

@Ghost I think you mean 1.0.8.21 as stable release and not 1.1.0.21.. :D

The new update seems actually rather stable (maybe navigating in the menus is a little less smooth, but it's barely noticeable), as long as you use your Jolla like a PC: If you open dozens of apps and you saturate your PC memory, it will behave sluggishly as well.

The only thing is that some apps need to be updated, that's why they are mainly targeting devs for now.

is patch manager working? warehouse?

Ghost ( 2014-10-23 14:52:28 +0300 )edit

@Ghost - Yes, Warehouse is working.

I don't know about Patchmanager, I uninstalled it from my previous OS, as it seemed to making the whole phone lag. Not sure if I will be installing it on 1.1.0.38 with known/given OOM (out of memory) suggested by Jolla Team.

Patchmanager works but not base and advanced patches... some other patches work like the select text in browser.

I also use Jolla as my main phone and I did the update. I'm here to help not to complain or to show my fear. So far is smooth and all my installed applications work fine. Wifi is stable and browser much faster.

is patchmanager working and the warehouse app??

Ghost ( 2014-10-23 14:53:11 +0300 )edit

I do not use patchmanager. Warehouse is working. Mitaakuulu is working. Phone calls are working. Browser great improvement. LTE is working. Camera is working. Gallery is working. On Android so far I tested: waze, skype, google play store, here beta, all are working fine and smooth more to test later today. Meecast do not work widget, but application itself is working.Filetug is working. Friends is working. More applications will work as developers will port them to QT5.2

patch manager is what i was opting to work cause it rather gives a lot of features ... and i really need that !!
