[feature-request] Adding support for OGG/Theora videos [released]
Sorry to ask for more work... But I tried to download the ogg/theora version of Big Buck Bunny and read it from the gallery, but rendering doesn't seem to work properly.
A simple workaround : reading this kind of files with the web browser, as the gecko engine can handle ogg/theora.
But it could be better if we could store videos with such free codec...

charlycoste ( 2014-10-27 13:59:15 +0200 )editOgg Theora and ogg Vorbis are supported and should work. Could you please share a link to the video itself?
MSameer ( 2014-10-27 14:21:49 +0200 )editSure! : http://mirrorblender.top-ix.org/peach/bigbuckbunny_movies/big_buck_bunny_480p_stereo.ogg
charlycoste ( 2014-10-27 14:25:00 +0200 )editI verified that it is broken :(
The 720p version http://mirrorblender.top-ix.org/peach/bigbuckbunny_movies/big_buck_bunny_720p_stereo.ogg however works fine :D
But yes it's a bug and I created an internal bug about it. I will do my best to keep you updated.
