Problem: UI interactions don't feel natural
Sometimes I try to open the lock screen with a quick flick a few times but it doesn't open until I do a longer flick. Or the page doesn't scroll any faster if I try to flick faster. It feels like the device doesn't respond properly to my actions. This is because the gestures require your finger to travel a certain distance on the touch screen but do not respond to how fast you do it. It makes the UI feel weird and uncanny.
Solution: Kinetic gestures
For making the UI interactions feel more responsive and natural, the OS should also track the momentum of your finger gestures. So a fast flick wouldn't have to be as long as a slow one and a fast flick when scrolling a list would scroll faster than a slower one. This should enhance the user experience by making the UI act like objects in the real world.
