I really hate having to shove a micro-usb into things to charge them as the connector isn't the greatest thing in the world. I'd very much like the tablet to have a Qi charging if possible.

Qi sounds appealing, but is a severe waste of energy with it's typical efficiency factor far below 80% compared to wired charging.

We receive a lot of ideas and suggestions, which we are grateful for, but all of them can't be implemented. We've reviewed your idea and unfortunately it is not something we can implement, at least right now.
However, we will keep all suggestions, and might revisit this decision in the future if we see an opportunity to implement this feature-request in an upcoming product/SW release.

I've also invested in the chargers (sunk cost) so any replacement tablet must have Qi charging - no way am I going back to USB cables all over the place. Jolla, Qi charging support is an absolute must for the tablet (and an official Qi TOH for the phone is also long overdue).
