"Battery heatup" as a feature. Not sure if...

A heating battery looks like a great concept, with the winter coming up and all. that way we never have to worry about cold hands ;)

That's an interesting idea... The Winter Other Half :)

"Battery heatup" would be great for cold days so the phone doesn't do like the fruit-phones and shut down because of to low battery voltage. Better software for the camera as in better low light focus and HDR would be great too... if we're compiling a wish list for OS 2.0.

Hei,

Until the day, I was eagerly waiting every next update. Getting the notification was like Christmas every few weeks.

With SailfishOS 2.0 around the corner, and more and more information getting published/leaked about it, I am less and less eager to get it... O_o

In the 14-15 months of owning my First One, I got familiar with the UI. I got used to it. I even dare to say I got to love it. It was not easy at all after years with the N9.

I like the way I can check notifications from anywhere. I like the way I can lock my Jolla with a swipe. I will be missing these features.

Partner Page. I'm not even sure I know what it is. But I don't think I want to know it...

LVPVS out.

Hei,

Before: Top swipe to lock screen. After: Top swipe and tap. This seems to be forcing the users to use the power button (Buttonless design?).

Before: Peek to check Notifications. After: Side swipe then another one (into the right direction - or two to the wrong one). Well, this is a thing to date I have issues with when back on my N9: which direction I need to swipe to get to the desired home screen. I mostly miss, and that makes me swipe some extras before getting there.

LVPVS out.

@LVPVS: You are right, but you also have to mention this:

Before: Side swipe, then swipe up to get to the app launcher grid and open a new app. After: Bottom swipe to get to the launcher grid.

By the way I think the partner space will be an option. As far as I understamd it might be there on new devices bought with a discount. It will probably not appear automatically on our Jolla.

So sailfish 1.0 - 1.1 is bound to become the new Maemo, loved by community, abandoned by development, while Sailfish 2.0 will be more Windows Phone like?

Sailfish OS version 1.1.9, including the user interface of Sailfish OS 2.0 just without Partner Space, is planned to be released for Jolla Phones during September 2015.

@simo We still don't have the 1.1.7 in a stable version.. I think this plan is quite optimistic...!! Probably SFOS 1.9 will be around very very late September, with the complete transition to SFOS 2.0 (1.2.x) on October.

they are both in testing phase already, 1.1.7 on Early Adopters phones, 1.1.9 on Developer Program tablets. The gap in between releasing those might actually be very short

shall we expect jump from bjorntrasket directly to 2.0 on the phone or will the 1.1.9/2.0 UI combo be released too?

Sure, but then 1.1.7 was (originally) planned for release in July ...

The best we can hope for on the 27th November is a 1.1 update that it is automatically sent to remaining 1.0 users, i.e it becomes the default latest version. As for the 2.0 update we can probably expect it around Spring.

For quickbar type of access there is quickbar no ? ;) Jokes apart, with some support from jolla side it would be possible to get better integration with ui for quickbar. But most likely not as a widget in the common sense.

Are you asking if it is delayed beyond Q2? As we are already in the 2nd month of Q2, tablet is rescheduled for June/July so I guess somewhere end of Q2 for Jolla Phone.
