There seems to be many howto's out there about wireless charging for Jolla TOH's but which one would you recommend? Now that Dirk is busy making the TOHKBD there aren't any such TOH's available at the Funky otherhalf store either. I also would prefer to use the original TOH.

Jolla, please crowd-source or do anything so we can buy these from the Jolla store.

2015 seems to be year Qi gets off to the masses. IKEA launches a set of furnitures with embedded Qi chargers. As well as Starbucks are introducing Qi chargers for their customers.

Just bought a QI-Receiver for Samsung Galaxy S3 and it fits perfectly. No soldering required. Just remove these golden balls on the contacts, they are too fat. Cut a bit at the edge of the receiver, so that the mechanical switch of theotherhalf fits. Use some adhesive tape to keep the receiver at the right place. It should be doable in about five minutes.

That sounds really good, did you take any photographs of doing this? Or at least the end result?

I updated my answer with a photograph of the end result (I had some trouble with this site - "upload image" didn't work for me). Look at the cut on the upper right corner of the wireless charger for the mechanical switch and the adhesive tape on the lower left corner - the fixation of the charger on the jolla is very important.

What charging pads do you use for this? Mine is constantly connecting/disconnecting :( Mine is one of those round 1500mAh found on ebay.

@Wizah: Make sure that your pad gets enough power. I had those issues when I tried to use a charger that could only deliver 1000mA, now I use a charger with 2,4A per port. Wireless charging is not really "green" :-(

I use a qi charging pad from xcsource. Looks ugly but works reliably. Pay attention to put the (hidden) receiver in the middle of the charging pad.

Somehow tear apart the receiver so that the strip is nakes.
Desolder it
move strip one step closer to the edge of the main "board" part so that the strip connects to the two contacts closest to the edge.
Resolder it

image description i have redone the work of another forum user with an palm stone and palm pre receiver. cost for both 20 euros. a bit soldering needed for the two contacts

without the aluminium foil on the left the contact would not have met ;-)
