I love matte screens and I always dreamed of having a mobile device that would have a display that's independent of lightning conditions. I like how Jolla likes to do things differently than the currently (imho) stale mobile device market. I think that a matte screen option for Jolla phone/tablet would be a great idea!

+1. Never could I get used to glossy screens. The more "anti-glare" features are introduced, the more they look like a mirror showing me my own muzzle instead of what I am looking for.

Definitely agree. I always buy Dell business laptop only because of matte screen. They used to be ugly, but are much better now foir video etc and don't cause eyestrain/headaches.

Anti Glare is dificult, i have 3000+ Euro Laptops from Dell here, that use anti glare in their Screens and those Screens look extremely worse after a year of using a Stylus. I think glossy without any foil is more "hard boiled" for daily use.

Jolla Roadmapping Meeting - Friday 16.01.2015

Thank you for your contribution to the Jolla Tablet project!

We receive a lot of ideas and suggestions, which we are grateful for, but all of them can't be implemented. We've reviewed your idea and unfortunately it is not something we can implement, at least right now.

However, we will keep all suggestions, and might revisit this decision in the future if we see an opportunity to implement this feature-request in an upcoming product/SW release.

Best regards,
The Jolla Tablet Team
