Hi, if I remember my old N900 first start, there were a lot of stuff installed by default, that I never used and would never use:

  • official service apps - facebook, youtube, ...
  • docs-to-go
  • first start stuff, manuals, ...
  • sponsored games

So please try to ship an clean device, that is ready to be customized by the user and it's needs. If you fear that non techies might get confused ("What? They don't have an facebook app???") please ask at the first start what to install and what not (for example via user categories). Make it easy to avoid majors and to use the tablet with max power and control :-)

AFAIRC only the manual/user guide is installed per default on the Jolla phone. I expect it to be the same on the tablet

That is just the way they did and do on the Jolla phone. I wouldn't expect anything different for the tablet.

Sadly they introduce what they call 'partner program' at the MWC to offer third party preinstall content -.-
