As it says in the title: Switch the 1,500,000 stretch goal to "Split Screen Multitasking" instead of buying exFAT licenses. By the current speed of the Indiegogo fundraiser it seems highly unlikely that the much-wanted "Split Screen" feature is going to make it. The feature is detailed here: https://together.jolla.com/question/63871/request-jolla-tablet-split-screen-multitasking/.

That's not gonna happen for a single reason. Everyone perking after introducing stretch goal would be disappointed if they are doing what they want to (like switching goals...)

Not going to happen, would reflect bad on Jolla if they suddenly swap goals.

Judging from recent discussions on TJC I'd argue that the exFAT stretch goal already does a good job of reflecting badly on Jolla.

I have to agree with t-lo. Switching will be the better option. The 1,5 million will be passed today. And the discussion on the exFAT (SDXC support) is so lively that switching will give everyone more time to discuss this.

How ever I do think there is no other solution then to pay M$ to have exFAT support. The only condition. M$ has to make the software modules to do so.

Why, are you planning a mass buy? :)

at a rate of less than $20k per day for the last 48 hours, that seems pretty unlikely. referral scheme was useless, being introduced when already almost saturated, and LastuCase no doubt would have been way more popular if available from the beginning. they'll need some big incentives (that are actually highly publicised) if they're going to get near $1.75m

You'll see :)

Current projection is that the Indiegogo will close at about $ 1,600,000 next Tuesday. So we'll be 750 tablets (or 45 micro-distributor starter kits) short of split screen.

How about rewarding us fanboys and fangirls with split screen even though the second goal cannot be reached?

...or switch 3G Support to first goal instead. That's better.

Adding a modem is a way bigger change than the "Split screen" software feature (HW design, drivers, testing, etc.). Also, not having 3G in the tablet can be worked around by tethering w/ a smartphone.

If it were feasible with that funding, Jolla would have proposed that as a goal already...
