Did think that if we get split screen functionality in Jolla tablet - it could be used as a screen for a DIY Oculus "rig" - due to its C++/Qt based operating system, there should be not to big of a problem creating the VR experience that Occulus fights with. Just need to design myself a 3D printable google it can be attached to!. =)

having a 8inch tablet sitting on your nose ... should be a nice sight.. but like the idea

if that functionality comes to the Jolla phone, then I'd agree, that a 3D printed gogle, would be great! Samsung already does this with one of their phones.

Well an 8 inc tablet is not necessary a bad thing, one of the issues with Occulus (at least DK2) is the problem with looking sideways in the field of view. - a larger screen resolves this issue somewhat. Will be rendering question as well of course..

Maybe - i dont have issues with other makeshift VR goggles tho. but counter weighting it in the 3D model could mabye be a good thing.. the DK2 is kinda akward as well tho in the weight shifting forwards, almost 500g on your face.. ;)
