Obviously now it is possible to take the Jolla phone as upgrade, or take the tablet combined with phone...

Nice idea, but why so late? I have to admit I am slightly disappointed now, as I ordered the phone independently of that last week. So now it is cheaper than buying last week regularly, and now it would have counted towards the goals... :-(

Edit: the upgrade perk states "for jolla tablet perk purchasers only". Does that include the "early sailor" perks? Or only the "jolla tablet" perk?

If you ordered last week, did you not get the cyber week discount? - The phone was 249€ then, which is merely about 20€ more than on Indiegogo...

Speculation: Jolla might be having trouble selling off their stock of phones (see: no devices with production date after 03/2014 known).

Further speculation: it would not be wise to get tablet buyers on the hook with a J1 it there was a J2 coming out next year - so possibly no J2 in sight? :(

Well, yes, the difference of 36 euros (because in jolla shop it was with 15€ shipping) is not the most disappointing.

But I would have taken it now even with same price to support the goals... that is more disappointing...

Edit: is mfg date not 3rd quarter 2014? because the phone came with current os (tahkalampi), which dates from july.

Hm, mine came in November and it says 03/2014. However, software version was 1.0.7.X.

I do agree about the contribution to goals. But hey, the financing goal was overshot by more than 300%. - I say, let them make good on what they promised so far (which is a lot!). No device can ever be "perfect" and aside from the 3.5G compatibility there is no reason for anyone NOT to buy a Jolla Tablet, spec wise.

And after all, there has to be room for improvement to develop and an incentive to buy a Jolla Tablet mk2! ;)

Still, the sale could have counted towards reaching the 1.75M$ threshold; they should have added the phone as a perk along the announcement of the discount (or instead of it). Well, not a big issue, but a sign that the campaign could have been managed better.

1.0.7.16 Saapunki came out on 9th of June 2014, or? and since March there were still some updates until then. Mine came in December, mfg date 03/2014, and installed was 1.0.8.19 Tahkalampi, but without the hotfix from october. That I had to install then still.

I just hope we will get the splitscreen still. :-) let's hope.
