As there are only some hours left to the tablet campaign, it seems unlikely to hit the 3rd goal.
Indiegogo offers to extend campaigns up to 60 days as stated in their help-center:
Deadline: As a one-off, Indiegogo allows any campaigner to extend their campaign’s deadline to bring their total days live to 60 days.
So please Jolla, extend!

@mosen: Thanks a lot for your support and interest!
We will not extend the campaign at this stage.
We might consider new ways in the future to target specific goals though, and will communicate accordingly when the time comes.
For now, we are very grateful for all the amazing support we received and we are committed to keep you, the Jolla Community at the core of our #PeoplePowered motto.

Mmmh. It may be too late to do that.
Support must receive request at least 3 business days prior to campaign's current deadline.
@drummer12 yeah, sure. I just wanted to point that out to avoid an outburst of "you damn Jolla, you don't want to give us 3.5g, this is another broken promise bla bla bla". :D
Three days ago I wasn't even sure we would come near to goal #2, asking for an extension would have been a bit premature.
And imagine if they did that, and the campaign didn't gain momentum again. What would some say? "See? They're desperate! They extended the deadline because this campaign is a failure! Bad PR, completely mismanaged bla bla bla". XD
I don't want to say Jolla is perfect. It isn't, it did mistakes, it will surely do more as all human things. But some people seem impossible to satisfy, I'm getting sick of this attitude.:P
EDIT: @mosen, sorry, I really didn't want to ruin your enthusiasm, but it's better to be realistic here. I'll be the first to be happy, if they DID extend the deadline.

I for once jumped the leap of faith and pledged the additional 30$ for 3.5g when it was announced, not careing to not even know if they would be counted if the goal is reached :P Beeing realistic, to me 3.5G would be the cherry on the cake. but would not leave a negative impact if not added as i already like the tablet as it will be...

The funding goal is achieved and delivery is only in May. This means that Jolla can start finalising the tablet, and keeping the campaign open will not delay delivery. So yes, they should keep it running... And once they hit $2.5m there will be more money coming in from people to get the 3.5g upgrade.
bilgy_no1 ( 2014-12-10 01:38:11 +0200 )editUnless there was a major mobile network operator going to actively promote Jolla products, pushing aggressively for replacing iPads with Jolla tablets for professional usage and there for requiring 3.5G support (obviously with the extra goal to sell more data subscriptions) I can't help but feel this a very uninteresting goal.
Sounds like lack of other, more interesting options from the hardware (partner) side.
