Volume rocker caused screen discoloration

I have about 2 months ago noticed that the screen on my Jolla has a slight but visible image discoloration or issue with very uneven backlighting. The intersting thing is that the pattern of the affected area is the shape, size and location of the volume rocker. That is, it's a long and bright line a few millimeters from the edge of the screen, exactly at the height where the volume rocker is.

Is this caused by heat, maybe pressure, or maybe even from attaching and removing my TOH? Has anyone else noticed similar issues? There is no similar pattern by the power button.

What do I do, is this reason enough for a warranty replacement?

Dead or malfunctioning pixels are covered by warranty, see here for example. Obviously yours is a slightly different issue, as the pixels are on the other side of the screen than on the phone at the link...
