[feature-request] Ability to hide letters when typing passwords
When I'm on the road I often miss a feature which my tablet actually got. There is an option to hide passwords in general, so if I type it on a webpage or in the account setting, I'm typing but you can only see dots. So it's much harder to read it from beside because you have to look on the keyboard which is often covered by your hands.
Update: To clarify I mean an option to disable this short period of time where you can see the entered letter/number before turning into the "password-dots" or "*"
update: still not implemented in SFOSv2.0.1.11
update: still not implemented in SFOSv2.0.2.51
which app are you talking about? in general this is working

I agree with you, that after entering the password you can only see the dots, but in the moment typing there is a short moment visible. So in public if I'm entering an account or secured web access I would prefer to not even see the letter a short period. I would see as a huge privacy and security enhancement because I often use my Jolla on public places with many people around

rudi ( 2014-12-17 21:49:59 +0200 )editI like it
Like I told in the question my Tablet (Samsung Galaxy note 8.0 Android 4.4.2) got an option for the described behaviour. I dont't know from which OS you are talking but as I wrote it's feature request.

rudi ( 2014-12-17 22:32:52 +0200 )editpress a key, see for a second your input, then a '*' or something similar, next input?
i.g. that's not a matter of OS, if used in web
and working on the phone
