Hello sailors,

last night I was watching / hearing youtube videos with not problem at all. This morning when I received a call the speaker didn't ring, I was surprised, I tried to play the youtube videos from last night but it didn't work, searching for a solution here in together.jolla.com I tried to manipulate the bottom part of my phone, but just putting a little pressure on the bottom part, where the speaker and the mic are located, it works again, perhaps it was an inside connector problem.

In February my front camera stopped working https://together.jolla.com/question/35029/front-camera-doesnt-work/ and now I've got problems with the speaker, I hope Jolla Phone 2 will have better hardware and assembled.

I do not use OpenRepos either I use Developer mode, because I want to keep full warranty.ç

I hope it helps someone.

As mentioned by idro it is a Hardware issue - either your speaker has just a bad contact or your speaker is really broken. I had the same issue and my speaker just had some bad contact. I fixed it myself like described here (see my comment). But if your mechanical skills are bad or you just don't want to void your warranty or destroy your Jolla you should really contact Jolla care and they will fix it for you as warranty case (if you still have your warranty). :) I will close this as duplicate because there are really many threads about this same issue around here - e.g.: https://together.jolla.com/question/39900/no-sound-through-speaker/.

I had the same problem a few months ago. I loosened the 2 screws on the bottom left, which sit around the vibration motor, started the CSD tool and the vibration test and shook my phone carefully. At some point it was working again.
