Bring Sailfish apps to next level:

The point it let the world took serious look on Sailfish apps develop (such as PUSH the other big company like facebook, twitter, instagram, linkedIn, and so on, you name it), which means those BIG Company will take a serious STEP to develop their Official apps for native Sailfish OS, (Serious as develop for Android & iOS)

Jolla need to have some deal & contact with those BIG COMPANY so the world will take serious on Sailfish OS apps DEVELOP, of cause the Pay apps option MUST BE ACTIVATE on Jolla Store as well.

We use android apps as no choice when those Company don't have an Official native apps for Sailfish OS.

What I wan to see is there is a Sailfish apps button beside Google Play button & Apple Appsstore Button, that will point to Jolla appsstore on every Company Official website.

THIS IS A HUGE STEP FOR JOLLA to get contact & deal & communication with these big company for create an Official native apps on Sailfish.

ROCK ON JOLLA, I know you can make it~

SailfishOS is fully ready to what the OP suggests, but the dominance-driven closed proprietary device and service ecosystems like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and other service providers and even public governmental ICT bodies and organizations are not ready to let the alternative, open-based (access, data, sourcecode, services, APIs etc) communities, orgs and companies to take part, benefit and utilize on the global digitalization and data-driven service and biz opportunities.

Unfortunately Jolla is too small to get those big compagnies to care. We have contacted them before. Worse they even banned us from doing some things in some cases, not allowing us to give you the user experience we want to give our users. Of course as a user you could contact those compangnies and hopefully if enough of you do they might start thinking about it.

@sirezo1997: For legal reasons (defamation etc) I will and cannot mention them. But feel free to ask the ones you would like to make their apps available on Sailfish to do so.

Very sad to hear (read) something like this. I am sure that Facebook is such a candidate: There was such a great facebook implementation in the pre-launch-beta SailfishOS (which is diasbled since now) that you didn't needed to have a seperate app for it.

Isn't the facebook stuff back on now, or is there still some commented out?

One recent example of how the community wishes and requests to provide #SailfishOS client and native user experience to their service is F-Secure/Younited who after one year of empty promises and stalling finally gave us a standard Android-app (which is not even feauture-complete and does not work properly) to use their sharing and cloud storage services. They were contacted directly by many SailfishOS community members in their forum, Twitter and other SoMe-platforms and multitude of inquiries and requests about native client for Jolla were made. Their response was a complete silence or denying to have promised anything like that. Do, sadly, the "big" ones don't care cause their biz models are based on owning big enough user-bases and all our data, personal communications and bind users to their ecosystems perpetually and fully. Small communities and #open-based tech platforms, apps, and companies don't interest them enough to open their APIs for independent app development (not even to access our own data, medias and social interactions that we have let them own, store, datamine, analyze or sell for marketing and external biz opportunities). Let the #unlike sail for the bright future of #open even if the current situation is quite disappointing and the road ahead is full of challanges and obstacles ;)
