hi I am using my Samsung phone to connect my tablet to the internet using the hotspot facility on the phone. is it possible to do this with the Jolla phone. Thanks in advance Defraybojolla

Yes, Tethering (Wifi Hotspot) is a built-in function and is secured via WPA-PSK.

As the other comment says, but you may need some further instructions. Open the settings application, then use the "Internet sharing" option, the third row in the "Connectivity" section, the onw with the stylized laptop+phone icon.
