(Edit: Removed my crash hint. Recognised this bug the first time after a crash but it occurred to me and others also in normal use conditions.)

I have been several times in the following situation:

The phone accepts only touch inputs in lock, home, covers, launcher or the virtual keyboard of an app. I can start or stopp apps, minimize (to cover) or maximize (open/show) apps.

But the phone doesn't react when touching inside any open fullscreen app or trying to do a pull gesture. The keyboard of fingerterm is not working only the default keyboard.

But swipe gestures from the app boarder are working.

Using ssh connection I was able to kill lipstick process and after restart of lipstick touch input was fully working again.

If you are interested I could provide journald dump.

Edit: Just run into the problem the fourth time. But found out that when rotating the phone from portrait to landscape mode the focus and touch input was restored. Hope this trick will help also next time.

Edit: Run into the problem more than 2 times using 1.1.4. Rotating the phone didn't help. Only rebooting solved the focus problem.

Edit: Again having the touch input problem using 1.1.4. This time rotating the phone from portrait to landscape and back solved the issue.

Edit: Still in 1.1.6. Run into this error more than once after the update. Sometimes rotating from portrait to landscape and back helped, sometimes not. If not than a reboot ok restart of lipstick is needed.

@pichlo: No, it's different. For example the virtual keyboard (overlayed window) of Messages app or Email app is working when creating a new message or email started via cover action. But not any function inside the app itself. Just like your window manager displays your window but doesn't set the input focus for your window. You can't do anything inside the app but managing windows (minimize, maximize), starting apps, closing apps, doing cover actons and so on.
