Recover unfinished video recording
One time I was recording a video and my jolla became unresponsive, the screen was stuck on one frame. I had no other choice but to turn it off. Now I have the (unfinished) damaged recorded file and it's very important for me to fix it. Any idea what can I try? Does Sailfish uses a different format for intermediate recording than for example android?
I was trying to find an answer for this earlier also. Had a large video file and a "full" disk in my phone so I was hit with the btrfs bug from earlier.
Anyhow I tried a few different video editors on Linux and could not get them to recover the file well enought to be usable. I found out that the frameheaders are missing because they are written to the file late. That is why the file is unreadable in regular players. The video is of type h.263.
By the way the now released 1.1.9.28 version (beta 2.0) is recording in h.264. Mentioning this just so you dont get mixed up with wrong media types when trying to decode the file.
