Am I really the only one seeing this problem? Quite often my Jolla rejects incoming calls by itself or I reject them by mistake (turning the phone the wrong way while getting it out of the pocket). So for the last time I try to get votes for the feature request to have the opportunity to turn this feature off ;-).

original post below:

So,

a couple of days / weeks passed now, and I had this issue at least two more times: my Jolla lies face down, a call is coming in, the phone rings once, and then it is automatically rejected / silenced without having touched the phone.

Either it is a bug: the sensor or the feature-code is set too sensitive / wrong ... Or it is a missing feature: it has to be switchable on or off, according to the users mood.

I think it is both, a bug and a feature request, so I tagged as it.

the original post is cited below:

Hello,

since the last update I had several times problems with this feature: my Jolla always lies face-down, because it's covered in the insmat flip case, the little fastener-thing on it implicate it this way. When a call arrives, I hear it ringing once or twice, then automatically the call is rejected / silenced, I have to make a lot of unnecessary swipes / pushes etc. to accept the call.

Similarly, when my Jolla is in my pocket and I try to take it out, it happens that accidentally the phone is turned and the call is rejected.

Do you experience this the same way, or is there already a thread about this topic I haven't found (I really searched :-))? And for me the most urgent question: how can I disable this feature?

Thank you!

eh? i keep my jolla in my pocket and when a call comes in, I hear it ring and ring and ring. I remove it and answer the call. don't seem to be getting these issues. is the area around the proximity sensor on your phone dirty?

Wow. I do not use my Jolla as a phone but if I did, accidental call rejection when taking it out of the pocket "the wrong way" would definitely annoy the hell out of me.

I was always assuming that the "flip the phone to reject the call" thingy was triggered ONLY if the phone was lying on its back when the call was received. If it isn't like that, then it should be.

@droll: most of the time the phone behaves as it should do, my problem happened now 4 or 5 times. And since my Jolla is anyway covered by the flip case, dirt on the sensor should not be the problem, should it?

@pichlo: as I mentioned above, usually my Jolla doesn't show this issue. But it happened definitely once in a while, anf I think such a feature should be "off-turnable".

it is a bug or do you know people complaining about Nokias doing that?

@chemist: sorry, but I didn't understand what you tried to ask...
