Separate SMS (and calls) to different numbers but same contact
I would like a setting wich forces every different number to be shown as different conversations even if it goes to the same contact. This should be the same for both SMS'es and Calls. The info contained in the conversation should be: Name, Phone type, Phonenumber, like: "Mum, Mobile, 012345678" or "Mum, Home, 9876543210".
I've got a lot of contacts with several different phonenumbers, the SMS conversation doesn't care of which number I sending SMS to, everything shows in the conversation for the contact, and the last used number will get the next SMS (if don't select number from contacts or send from the call log). --edit2: I find it difficult to know wich phone number I send to when people has different mobile phone numbers.--
This has also caused me a lot of trouble, I've sended several SMS'es to fixed land lines wich could be terribly embarrassing (SMS'es to a fixed phone here in Sweden are automaticly read (by a robot) when the reciever lifts the phone..)
This is a suggestion which I think will fix the issues in the linked thread below. (Jolla support asked me to create a question here to se the interest in this request.)

While in a conversation, you can change the number (or account, if you have XMPP or similar set up) that a message will be sent to by tapping on 'Change type', or tapping and holding on 'Send' when you have already typed the message.

velimir ( 2015-01-27 21:35:31 +0200 )editCan you explain? If you don't receive SMS messages from a landline and don't intentionally start a conversation with a landline number, how do you end up sending text messages to landlines from an existing conversation?
I'm asking because I have the same situation with my contacts (one contact, 2, 3 or 4 phone numbers) and I never had such a problem.
ossi1967 ( 2015-01-28 08:45:46 +0200 )edit@ossi1967 Sometimes I do it by mistake, most of the times I guess it's through the call log but I know at least one time (maybe four) when I replied directly in a sms conversation and the sms ended up in a landline phone. I don't know why, that's were why I contacted Jolla support.
