Support importing from cameras via MTP

As Jolla have taken the decision to not support ExFAT formatted cards, the other option for importing images from a camera is to use the camera's MTP USB transfer mode.

I attached my Olympus OM-D E-M10 to my Jolla using the camera's usb cable and a usb-otg cable. Switching on the camera should then present a menu asking if I want MTP mode but nothing happens. The camera doesn't detect the Jolla.

If I do the same using an android tablet instead of the Jolla, it shows the menu on the camera and on the tablet asks me which of three apps to import images with.

I'd really love a two box (phone and camera) solution for travelling. At the moment I'm leaving the Jolla at home.

Jolla-Tablet will be usbOTG ready, Jolla-Phone is not an usbOTG ready device (and will never be as it is not wired for it).

IIRC the current Jolla-phone will never be OTG-capable since it has not the necessary circuitry applied to its connector.

"IIRC"? Does someone really know if this is a HW limitation?

If I Recall Correctly == IIRC and I give that a +1 and added it to the answer, iirc is "I am not 100% certain, but I believe it was a HW keeping us from it" = what might be possible is with external power but that is not really practical

Hmm. Most dissapointing. I hope they fix this in a future phone model. In the meantime it looks like an android phone is joining my Android tablet.
