Android VKB saves and suggests passwords in plaintext
If you type your password in Android application, it saves it in word suggestions, and after some time it will start suggesting it right after you type first letter of it.

This bug is not bound to android apps only. It also occurs on native SF browser. It seems that some password forms are not interpreted as such, e.g. outlook.com.

Which version of Sailfish OS are you running? it was supposed to be fixed in 1.0.1.12.
rainisto ( 2013-12-26 11:35:39 +0200 )edit1.0.1.12. Updated into it right before even starting to use my Jolla, so it indeed still exists in Laadunjärvi.
jjyks ( 2013-12-27 09:45:48 +0200 )editcan you still reproduce this in 1.0.2.5?
rainisto ( 2014-01-10 13:41:48 +0200 )editNot sure, my passwords are still saved, but they don't show up as first suggestions any more because of "remember password" option in most programs. Wouldn't like to reset whole device to get rid of those couple words. If there is some way to just reset/remove word suggestions i'm ready to try it.
jjyks ( 2014-01-10 19:19:01 +0200 )editThe issue seems to be present still: https://together.jolla.com/question/12896/why-my-passwords-appear-in-plain-text-above-the-virtual-keyboard-as-input-options-o/ (or there are many users still on an old release)
