Although the ringtone is coming through my bluetooth headset, I don't seem to be getting the email and SMS notifications coming through.
Also, they don't seem to be listening to the ringtone volume and they are far too quiet. I'm missing notifications because the phone spends most of its time on my hip, talking with me through the headset.

This question is really two questions,
Answer to the first question, tone playback to Bluetooth headsets wasn't implemented before, but tone playback is coming in next (March) update.
Answer to the second question is a bit more lame, but due to Android hardware adaptation roots, in-band ringtones aren't going to happen. See for example here: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=38310

I did write an email to care@jolla.com about this. My Nokia BH-905i starts playing Nokia tune when someone is calling me, instead of my ringtone. Very peculiar bug.
