I have just been looking at the photos and videos of the Jolla Tablet from the MWC 2015 and I have noticed that the power button and the volume rockers are reversed / put differently than on the Jolla phone.

I am presently using both my Jolla Phone and my Nokia N9 phone. On the Jolla phone the power button is above the volume rocker but on the N9 it is below. As a consequence I am constantly turning off the screen when I want to adjust the volume without looking or visa versa. It is a detail but I believe that many users would appreciate that details like this as far as possible are consistent throughout the Jolla products.

PS - I have purchased my Jolla tablet during the first Indiegogo campaign last year.

I agree. Consistency is very important. Unfortunately it might require a change in the board layout and that is time consuming. But I would also really like the power button to be on top.

A kind of "workaround" to this problem is the fact, that sailfish os 2.0 will have a feature to adjust the volume by a three finger swipe. So you might not need to use the volume rocker at all.

Jolla Roadmapping Meeting - 07.04.2015

Thank you for your contribution to the Jolla Tablet project! We receive a lot of ideas and suggestions, which we are grateful for, but all of them can't be implemented. We've reviewed your idea and unfortunately it is not something we can implement, at least right now. However, we will keep all suggestions, and might revisit this decision in the future if we see an opportunity to implement this feature-request in an upcoming product.

O.k. this means that on the second Jolla phone, the position of the volume rocker and the power button should be switched in order to achieve consistency between Jolla tablet and Jolla 2 phone.

(I am eagerly awaiting (a smaller) Jolla 2 phone!)
