[Bug] Skype continuous notifications while downloading a file [answered]

While downloading a file sent to me in Skype I was constantly (every next second) receiving notifications as Skype counter was showing how much time left till the end of download. I mean, every time the counter changed, Jolla was showing a notification and playing a sound. Notifications were showing the same information as the Skype counter - time to finish the download. That was quite annoying, fortunately, the file was not very big and it took less then a minute to download it.

Thanks to @Victorious (see his answer below) the bug was killed. Looks like it is not really related to SFOS itself, but to the way some apps modify system settings.

This question is not to Jolla, but to Coderus.

As far as I know Coderus is an independent developer, not related directly to Jolla or Skype. How can he help? This is the obvious bug in SFOS way to handle android apps notifications.

This is due to the application android-notifications when you turn it off or make the correct settings notification Skype - this problem will not occur.

@Victorious Hmm… Don't have it. May be I should try to install it and play with settings?

It's amazing .. I installed this application and got this bug

Victorious ( 2015-03-21 15:09:11 +0200 )edit

Well… Really amazing. Installed the app, tried to do something with settings. Nothing changed, bug was still present. Uninstalled the app — bug's gone. Seems like some other app changed the way android app notifications were handled, and by uninstalling android-notifications it was reset to default. But I'm not sure, as I know nothing about the way it works. Anyway, thanks, as your advise was helpfull (though in a strange way :-) ).
