Is anyone working on a native linphone application? There can't be many terribly difficult problems since the software is already so widely ported to multiple mobile platforms? Edit: this seems to be on a feature Announced on SailfishOS Roadmap, as seen at https://together.jolla.com/question/415/sip-voip-native-integration/

There should be Linphone for BB10 but i didn't find the source of the application. Instead I found some code for liblinphone in C (http://www.linphone.org/technical-corner/liblinphone/downloads).

So it seems quite doable to port to SFOS but I have atm neither the skill nor the time to do it.

Native Ring application would be more interesting. Ring supports SIP too

Can you use other standard SIP clients with Linphone?

Having a SIP client integrated into telepathy has been in the works for some time (see: TJC-415) and has been recently mentioned in the SailfishOS Roadmap here

In addition, we have planned to work on the following:

  • Telepathy farstream / SIP Audio routing policy

If not then porting liblinphone and writing a telepathy-linphone client would be the way to go.

I know this is a double post, but it doesn't matter in this case (too good news)... :-)

With s1p we got a great native SIP app finally! Please support it as much as you can to improve its development.

Already a huge THANK YOU to its developer named unmaintained! :-)

Are there already some news about an native Linphone or CSipSimple client?

Maybe it could be more easy to port it to Sailfish OS now, due to the new Qt 5.9 framework (QML) of Linphone 4?
