I have a feeling, that this has been explained somewhere, but since I couldn't find it, let me re-check.

If I install Google Play Store according to instructions published here:

  • Will the Google Services Framework be installed automatically with Play (so, that all Android apps that require services, would be satisfied) ?
  • After installing Play, was it so, that all the Android apps, that I have installed before (from whatever-app-stores), need to be reinstalled ?

  • Yes the framework gets installed and you will be able to use apps in need of that framework eventually at least I have a ton of google crap running in BG).
  • No!

I had to reinstall about 25% of android apps after installing Google Play store, as they just stopped working properly (e.g. WhatsApp).
