Hello to all you jolla/sailfish legends!

I just wanted to say what a great product you have and I can't tell you how happy I am that I found you guys before I went out and bought a new phone. (I won't say which one :-)) I am a Nokia N9 user from Australia and have been using Nokia N9 for the past 5 years and I am desperate to get my hands on a Jolla phone. Unfortunately it's not currently sold in Australia (Jolla....you guys are killing us slowly!! When is it due in Australia?)

I have now ported sailfish onto a Nokia N9 only to find out that the version available is buggy and way out of date.

Can someone please advise how I can get a latest copy of the sailfishos. (I have registered Jolla account and I have signed up for the early release program)

Please help! :-)

Nokia N9 user for the past 5 years? How did you do that, it's been released in September 2011 :)

Hi, I'm just curious, if you got a newer version of SFOS on your N9? The only versions (images) I found are 1.x version, no 2.0 or 2.1 images. As I'm currently forced to use my old N9 (my Jolla currently does not work anymore), I had the idea to try SFOS on it...

You can buy a jolla phone in australia although its not official sold there: http://reviewjolla.blogspot.de/2014/06/order-jolla-to-china-japan-usa.html

Here you find some other people that do that: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=92264

And here you find yourtwitter account: https://twitter.com/jollaaus

The Jolla release repository is located here: https://releases.jolla.com/releases/1.1.2.16/jolla/armv7hl/ However you cannot just download stuff from there, it is a RPM repository.

Thanks all for the responses.Seems I don't have permission to this link. Does Jolla release a tar.bz2 file when a new release of sailfish comes out? That's the kind of file that was used to port my Nokia N9. Also having signed up with the early release program how do I get new stuff that comes out? Do they push out the release to your phone? Cheers

Jolla puts the sources here when they have the time to build them: http://releases.sailfishos.org/sources/

That's exactly what I was after....the latest release file for porting. Gonna port my 4 1/2 yr old nokia n9 again with the latest release :-) Thanks.

Hi again. I have tried for the last two weeks to upgrade my Nokia N9 with the latest SFOS and had nothing but trouble and have just received notification that the SFOS that is placed in the http://releases.sailfishos.org/sources/ location is not in the right format to port on the Nokia N9. Apparently you need a 'file system snapshot' of SFOS with binaries, scripts etc. rather than the extracted tar from SF. Does anyone know of a vgrade version which has the latest files from version 1.1.1.27 of SFOS. Hope I am making sense. Cheers
