Hi, I just thought it would be useful if there was an App/OS feature with which we could lock individual apps and/or atleast folders with a passkey. Something like "Applocker" by Ori Kadosh (cjori) on jailbroken iOS devices.

This would be useful for users who can prevent nosy friends/relatives from accessing important apps and personal info while allowing them to access the phone.

Thanks chemist! But I guess in the above link, the request being asked is similar to kid's corner on Win Phone.....

Or install "App Locker" patch from Patchmanager 2.0 online catalog, it integrated nicely into system ;)

But can't lock a folder directly. For this special needs you can:

This way your folder can by open only with this particular app, protected by a password.

Also consider to lock any application which can be used to install another "root" file manager (Jolla Store, Warehouse, "normal" file manager which can be used to install a rpm package, terminal...).

hi,

who's the developer of the patch "app locker". @coderus? If app locker is enabled for an app and the app has a shortcut on the lockscreen you're able to open it without entering the code.
