[Bug] Keyboard DeadKey (ˇ´...) look broken in 1.1.4.28 and 1.1.4.29
It seems that since Äijänpäivänjärvi, the DeadKey element is shown wrong while split keyboard is enabled on keyboards where its placement is on the right side of the keyboard (for example in the official keyboard for Czech or Greek).
Its caption is moved to the left, so it looks like it is on the next key.
See these screenshots and watch the ˇ key.
i have exactly the same problem with the greek keyboard, split mode works fine.
pmelas ( 2015-04-20 09:18:59 +0200 )editI observed the same problem with nodevel's keyb. Switched to original Čeština keyb. It seems that this is one of the minor problems 1.1.4., because the early access to 1.1.4 is no longer available. I updated to 1.1.4 and worked fine except for some Homescreen and Launcher patches. So I did factory reset and setup basic things including update to 1.1.2.16. But the early access to 1.1.4 does not come again. Checked the Jolla Account and it is OK.
cocovina ( 2015-04-20 09:41:38 +0200 )editI think the problem is that the middle row can accommodate 9 keys only(?), I did remove the dead key from that row and add it in the space bar line (see the code below). It seems to work ok now, but on a greek keyboard you would expect the dead key (accent) next to "l".
pmelas ( 2015-04-20 10:09:52 +0200 )edit@pmelas No, it seems that it has nothing to do with the number of keys in a row - I tried removing some other keys in the row, but it would still be displayed wrong. But you're right that it doesn't seem to happen on the space bar row (as is apparent in my screenshots with the ´ key).
nodevel ( 2015-04-20 10:47:09 +0200 )edit@cocovina You need to wait for a few more days, because Jolla put the 1.1.4 update on hold :) btw I already updated my keyboard to play nice with the split view, but I'll wait with the release until Jolla fixes this bug (or suggests a workaround).
