[HOWTO in comments]
Hi, I have yliaavanlampi installed, and it shows the photos from SDcard multiple times. It apperead when I was switching the SDcard from Lumia 620 to Jolla and vise versa. Every now and then I use that Lumia, because it is handier in the pocket.
The photos from Jolla memory are shown only once, but not in the correct date/time order with SDcards pictures. The SDcard has really about 300 pictures in three folders, but Gallery shows 2475 pictures.
How can I initialize the Gallery "directory"?
Thanks, -sakke
Using a file browser, navigate to
/nemo/.cache/.nemothumbs
and delete theraw
folder. Then, go to/nemo/.thumbnails
and delete thenormal
folder and thedata
file - close the file browser. Then open Terminal and type in

- let tracker do its thing and then check back in your Gallery to see what's changed/sorted.Well, after browsing a while, I dared to use "tracker-control -es" command. Ok, it created the gallery content anew (starting form zero pictures and videos), but the end result is the same, i.e. it contains 2475 pictures and 87 videos. I think the number of videos is correct. At least it is in the correct ballpark figure.
Now that I actually got the answer to my initial question... ;-) ... I still have another question: How can I make it show the pictures only once?

Jolla does not and cannot store images on SD card by default. So you must have physically copied your images to your sd card and perhaps did not empty the original folder, the folder that Camera dumps images into. Unless changed, the Camera dumps the images into

. You are saying you have lots of images also on sd card, located at/media/sdcard/xxxx-xxxx/
- check for duplicates between these two mentioned folders - I see no other reason for the duplications.Yes, you were right, there were several thumbnails of pictures. Months ago I tried sharing of one photo with Lumia to MS cloud, and it had created different size thumbnails of all the pictures under WPSystem/SharedData folders. Now I have 411 photos in the Gallery in the correct date order. :-) Thanks!
