When creating a new event, you can choose a calendar where the event is assigned to. At the moment by default all calendars are shown in the list. My proposal is simple, hide all calendars, from the calendar selection list when creating an event, that have not been chosen to be shown in the calendar view.

Now, at times, I can't always remember which calendars I have hidden and which I've not. This results in a situation where the event is created to a hidden (wrong) calendar. And changing the calendar is not yet possible, see this post.

Edit 2019-11-04: Still the calendar list for new events show the inactive/unselected calendars in the list.

It gets even worse if you have to rearrange your calendar after sync failures. This feature would help a lot.

Edit 2020-03-10: the modification was accepted upstream. It should be part of a future version (maybe not the 3.3.0 in preparation), let's wait and see. Thanks to the reviewers.

I'm proposing a change to the middleware to allow this in the UI. Let's wait for code review.

This is marvelous! Thank you for your work! :) Edit: Since the modification got merged already, I think this TJC topic can be closed as it will land in the SFOS release at some point. Or do you think there's something more to be done still?

In fact, the MR mentioned here is for the middleware only, so technically it's not enough to have it in the UI. But the corresponding MR for the UI has been accepted also (I cannot point to it since it's in the proprietary part of the code on a private repo). Do as you prefer, close the topic when it lands in user's hand, or now.

Ok, I'll take your word for it that all the pieces have been put together. :) I'll close this one.
