Hey all!

just in case there are other people out there, frustrated by the fact that the Penguin's Latvian keyboard from openrepos doesn't work after the latest patch, I've sketched a layout which seems to work for me. I'm not 100% sure what do you need to make it work, but, I guess, having 2 files: custom_lv.conf and custom_lv.qml in /usr/share/maliit/plugins/com/jolla/layouts/ should suffice. This one has both accents on long press and a deadkey.

Change your DeadKey to:

DeadKey {
            caption: "´"
            captionShifted: "´"
                fixedWidth: null
        }

and restart maliit service, e.g.

devel-su
killall maliit-server

What does fixedWidth: null do?

... ahh, fixes the portrait mode. Sorry, didn't notice and thanks for the hint. Btw, you can restart the maliit service a bit more gently through systemctl --user restart maliit-server.service

Since the earlier Latvian keyboard hasn't been updated in OpenRepos, I took the liberty to make an RPM from this layout and put it available for download in OR, I hope nobody minds. If the other keyboard is updated or @Iger wishes so, I can take it down.
