Phone shouldn't lock while using the camera [answered]

Yeap, that's about it, if I'm waiting for the right moment to take a shot, the phone shouldn't lock on me!

It should eventually sleep if left on the desk even if I'm silly enough to leave the camera running on top, but definitely if the display timeout is short the camera app should extend that to a minute or two

...or maybe use the sensors to figure out whether the phone is lying horizontally or being held in an obvious position to take a picture. Or at least give me the option :-)

And should it lock anyway, then have the camera app ready and active when unlocking it! :)

The behaviour changed in 1.0.3.8. Basically, the screen will shut down, but the phone won't lock - a double tap will take you back to the camera view _but_ if you close the application, it will ask for a lock code, which is pretty cool if you ask me. Since I opened the question, I'll close it unless anybody thinks that more can be done.
