Phone shouldn't lock while using the camera [answered]
Yeap, that's about it, if I'm waiting for the right moment to take a shot, the phone shouldn't lock on me!

The behaviour changed in 1.0.3.8. Basically, the screen will shut down, but the phone won't lock - a double tap will take you back to the camera view _but_ if you close the application, it will ask for a lock code, which is pretty cool if you ask me. Since I opened the question, I'll close it unless anybody thinks that more can be done.

It should eventually sleep if left on the desk even if I'm silly enough to leave the camera running on top, but definitely if the display timeout is short the camera app should extend that to a minute or two
