Android platform applications bundled to latest Sailfish release?
I have installed the F-Secure App Permissions app when it was released, and it was showing the permissions from the apps as I expected. Before last month, I think before the latest OS update, the App Permissions was _not_ listing e.g Phone and Contacts applications at all. Now it does. And the names (paths) for the apps show them as Android platform apps.
I'd like to know what does this change mean, and what was the resoning to do it.
Is the Alien Dalvik used to run those apps, as I understand should be the case with Android apps?
I Can't include a picture, but I list the android named apps below the way the F-Secure app shows them:
(App name, Package, Version, nbr of permisssions)
Phone : com.android.phone, 16, 48
System UI : com.android.systemui, 16, 36
Contacts : com.android.contacts, 16, 31
Gallery : com.android.gallery3d, 40000, 20
Calendar Storage : com.android.providers.calendar, 16, 17
Contacts Storage : com.android.providers.contacts, 16, 16
Download Manager: com.android.providers.downloads, 16, 12
And Package Access Helper, Media Storage, Package installer, Android System, Downloads, Phone/Messaging Storage, Remote Keyboard, Search Applications Provider with less than 10 permissions each.
