PIM "ecosystem" suggestions
Background: I kinda fed up with Microsoft (just the regular NSA-big-brother reason), so I started figuring out alternatives for a personal email and information management ecosystem, the works (services and apps for Jolla and Windows(on my laptop); although for the sake of it, suggestions for other OS'es would be useful as well).
I currently trying Mailbird (windows app), Fruux, Todoist(migrating from Wunderlist; Fruux's tasklist is quite limited, not sure about contacts syncing, they say they don't support it but somehow I managed to get them there...maybe when I tried Em-mail app) but I'm not really exactly happy with this system. For instance Mailbird doesn't handle calendars yet, not sure if I can sync calendar events from Todoist to Jolla's calendar through Fruux. 2do might be a better alternative for Todoist, but Mailbird has a Todoist app. But I haven't done thorough tinkering yet to see what combo works best for me. Quite lost with cloud storage at the moment.
The question: so I wanted to ask what is your PIM "ecosystem", what apps and services do you use (paid or free, and on what OS with a desktop)? Give us your idea of a good system with Jolla!
And you don't have to be NSA-tinfoil-hatty with your suggestions, but wouldn't mind those as well. If you do have a somewhat good-for-privacy solution, could you indicate it as such?
Thanks!
ever thought of using owncloud?

When I say owncloud, I mean installing the open version on a cooperatively-owned server, of course. (there are a couple of them in Europe, the Belgian All2All or the french Ouvaton and Lautre.net come to mind)
On these, installing your owncould server is a matter of editing a couple of lines in a setup.

I have been using linux desktop for 15 years and phone for 7 years, and have patiently been waiting for a solution. I'm still waiting. There always seems to be one or more parties disagreeing. Any standard would be better than the current mess.
