Bug: media app loads a large music collection very slowly

After I launch the media app, I have to wait several seconds until anything shows up in it. Until then, I get a message which says "No content available. Transfer some songs to your device." - This is kind of scary, almost suggesting to me that all my music is deleted!

While I understand that it takes long to load a large music collection, I would rather see a BusyIndicator and a message which says something like "Please wait until we load your music."

Unfortunately, it seems that the music app doesn't scale for larger music collections. (Even scrolling among items is a hassle if you have music from many artists.)
