Unless something eludes me, there is no way to mark multiple messages as read at once.
If I go into selection mode, select a bunch of e-mails, and then hold select down on the last of them to open the menu and click "mark as read", it will only mark the last mail of the selected ones as read, instead of all of the highlighted ones as one might expect/hope. It'd be great if this feature could be changed so that you'd have the ability to mark several messages read at once.
Also kind of related, it'd be nice to have some form of "shift-select" ability, as in "select every message between the first and second selection" - maybe adding it as an option to the same menu that opens when you hold the selection down for a few seconds?
Lastly, some form of basic search function would be great. Doesn't even need to be anything fancy, even a basic inbox filter that would list all messages with the specified keyword in sender/subject field would be awesome. Think of the people/phonebook app and how it quick-filters contacts by the alphabet letters.
Other than these issues, I quite like the e-mail app as-is currently.
