[How-To] Pokémon Go with GPS

This is how I finally got to play Pokémon Go with GPS. You probably don't need all of these steps, but I'll keep them for comprehensiveness. This guide is based on this question and this question.

  1. Install Google Play Services and the Play Store. Check that you're using the latest version. You can download the latest version there. Choose "-034" the version.
  2. Install google maps and launch it. You should get a message prompting you to give google apps access to your position. Grant google maps access, then close it. You can remove google maps afterwards.
  3. Get a Pokémon Go version that is modded for android 4.1. I used the file link under "method 2" in the description of this video, but I can't guarantee for the integrity of that link. Simply use your favorite search engine if that doesn't work.
  4. Only necessary if GPS isn't working otherwise: Install "gps info" from the jolla store. Launch it before launching Pokémon Go and wait till it has as found your position (You might need to go outside ;)). Then let run in the background.
  5. Launch Pokémon Go. Choose "Pokemon Trainer Club" (google doesn't work), register an account and then log in.
  6. Enjoy!

Edit: This Guide is tested with the Jolla 1. Jolla C is apparently working out of the box. It would also be interesting to see if it works without google play services, so please write an answer if you tried it.
