Android apps cannot play sound anymore.

Today I wanted to watch a video using VLC. The video plays but without sound. Neither on my head phones, nor on the speaker. Then I tried other Android apps. All other apps are silent. If I try to change to volume using the buttons the volume slider shows up and indicates a change in volume. But without any effect. The Sailfish music player plays music without any problem.

I tried the tricks mentioned in here, but nothing worked.

Is there anything I can do?

Update: It turns out that the problem can be fixed be uninstalling the Android support and then reinstalling it. The problem with this procedure is, that all Android apps loose their settings. Even certain application data is deleted.

Is there anything I can do?another way to fix this problem?
