[Bug] Media lost all meta data with update to 2.1.1.26

After the update to 2.1.1.26, my media player (daedalus) doesn't show any meta data like title, album etc. anymore. This is not an application bug, as I also cannot select any mp3 file as a ringtone anymore.

I did try tracker reset -r to no avail (db gets reset, indexing gets started, but this doesn't solve the problem). However, I notice that sometimes I see a warning appear that some code inside tracker would be unreachable.

This looks like the same problem discussed in this bug, but the workaround there (use gdb, start tracker-extract and continue on running into a breakpoint) isn't working for me and anyway, stepping over a problem with gdb certainly isn't an answer at all.

If there is anything else that you want me to provide (e.g. gdb output), please advise in the comments.
