Asking someone in another country to buy Sailfish X for me?

I live in the US and I really, really, really wanna use Sailfish OS. Since I can't buy it myself, I'm thinking about asking one of my grandma's friends in the UK to buy it on my behalf. (People in the UK can buy it, right? I used a proxy website that says I'm in the UK to check, and it looks like they can buy it.) But I just want to know how exactly that will work. It's okay to do this, right? Will they have to use my Jolla account to buy it, or should they create their own account? Can they just download the image and email it to me, or what?

EDIT: Okay, since this apparently isn't obvious to anyone else, I guess I'll have to explain it so people will see it BEFORE answering or commenting. I am perfectly aware that I can use a VPN to trick the website into thinking that I'm in an authorized country. HOWEVER, that might still count as purchasing it from an unauthorized country, which violates the terms of service. If I violate the terms of service, my license to use the service will be terminated. And there's no guarantee that I'll be able to reinstall Android and restore full functionality to the phone, so that's $300 down the drain. I don't even have a job right now, and when I get a job, I'll probably be on minimum wage. I can't afford to take that risk. Asking someone in another country to buy it for me is a lot less risky.

EDIT 3: I GIVE UP! NOBODY understands my question! Nobody has even BEGUN to answer it! My question has nothing to do with whether I should use a VPN or ask someone from another country to buy the software for me! When I asked this question, I had decided to ask someone from another country to buy the software for me. I didn't want to know about other options. I already know about them. I just wanted to know exactly what I should do when having someone else buy it for me! I'm closing this question because I'm just gonna get more and more frustrated with nobody understanding what I'm asking otherwise!
