I was wondering if it's possible to set default message type for Messaging system app so that the system suggests that at first (default is the message type used by the other party)?
Currently it's pretty easy to use "wrong" bearer e.g. in situation where recipient has recently sent an SMS and before that IM and I'd like to contact him/her via IM but the latest received message is SMS.
If not already there, I'd suggest to add a user-changable setting (Apps - Messaging) that allows one to choose either the recipient's previous messaging type (current default behaviour) or to define a priority order of messaging types (e.g. if contact has Google talk, try that first, if not, try Jabber, if not, try SMS. It probably also requires a toggle like "Require IM online status" (if checked, it chooses by default the highest priority message type where the recipient is reported to be online).

I was wondering if it's possible to set the default (preferred) message type for Messaging system app so that the system suggests that at first (default seems to be the message type used by the other party in previous message)?
