Calendar sync from phone to Nextcloud not working?

Using Sailfish build 3.2.1.20 and Nextcloud 17.0.2

Sync from Nextcloud to phone works, I've tried manually syncing from Sailfish calendar and backup apps.

If I create a calendar item on Sailfish phone and manually sync it does not appear in the Nextcloud calendar. If I do the same on the Nextcloud calendar and then sync on phone the item appears in Sailfish calendar. I've tried manually syncing from Sailfish calendar and backup apps.
