Case: I'm in my inbox and I have mail messages sorted by sender, with alphabetical subheads (see picture, left). I choose "Select emails" from the pulley menu. Now, the messages are still sorted alphabetically by sender, but with date subheads ("Yesterday", "Monday", "Older" etc.) (picture, right).
As the messages are not in chronological order, there may be subhead "Friday" with one message under it, then "Older" with a couple of messages, then "Friday" again ... so these labels make no sense. The subheads should be alphabetical. (And, the emails from one sender should be in chronological order...)

Edit: To make this more general: In the Email app, when moving to "Select emails" mode, the sorting order (whichever you have chosen — time, sender, size, etc) is retained, but the emails are always separated under date subheads ("today", "tuesday", etc). The selection view should have the same kind of subheads as the previous view.

Case: I'm When you see a list of messages in my inbox and I have mail the email app, messages sorted by sender, are separated with different subheadings according to the sorting order being used. ("A", "B", "C" ... for alphabetical subheads (see picture, left).
I sortings, "Large", "Medium", "Small" for size order, etc.)
When you choose "Select emails" from the pulley menu. Now, menu, the messages sorting order is retained. Naturally the subheadings should also stay the same. But instead, the appropriate subheadings are still sorted alphabetically replaced by sender, but with date subheads dates ("Yesterday", "Monday", "Older" etc.) (picture, right). "Older", etc.)
As the messages are not necessarily in chronological order, there may be subhead subheading "Friday" with one message under it, then "Older" with a couple of messages, then "Friday" again ... so these labels subheadings make no sense. The subheads should be alphabetical in selection view also, same as in normal view.

In the picture left, messages sorted by sender; on the right, in selection mode, messages under "Older", "Thursday" and "Older" are from the same still sorted by sender from the same address.)but with wrong subheadings.
