Although swipe down will lock the display (on either the lock/home screen or the multitasking view), it would be nice (not to mention logical, consistent and natural) if double-tapping on the lock screen (ie. that screen you see when first unlocking the device - the one with the time and cellular operator name) would also lock the device.
After all, you can double-tap to unlock the device so why not double-tap to lock it as well? One gesture to unlock and a completely different gesture to lock makes little sense.
